This can be used to turn off tone curve transform functions for image elements. Default setting is “OFF”.

The[BANDHOME] value is the location of the temporary swap workspace for the RIP. You should set the BANDHOME path to a fast drive with at least 6 GB free space. If possible, set the [BANDHOME] to a drive other than the drives where the operating system, RIP-Queue, or the input and work folders reside. This will not affect color but the drive it is set to must be large enough to be used as a swap workspace.

Use [BLACKOVERPRINT] if your images contain overprint attributes for the black channel.

[CCADL] stands for ”ColorThe attribute of visual experience that can be described using the dimensions of Hue1. A tint or color specified by an angle on the HSV Color Wheel. This option forces gradient blends to have random noise added to reduce potential banding. However, it always doesn’t give you good results.

When checked and set “OFF”, this eliminates image downsampring. Image dwonsampling reduces processing overhead for generating preview (better performance), at the potential loss of information.

This option creates a timed pause at the end of a RIP instance. The window will remain open based on the defined value in milliseconds.

You don’t need to use this unless explicitly told to. Leave a default setting.

This option sets the maximum number of steps rendered in gradient blends defined by PS and PDF blending operators.

This option acts like Illustrator's "Document RasterFile format in which pixels are placed in a grid. (That is, pixels are located by exact addresses, rather than by their relation to other pixels.) Raster Format Graphic file format in which images are described as a matrix of dots. Some examples: TIFF, Targa24 or 32-bit raster format originally developed for video production by AT&T EPIC (later Truevision). This format does not support the storage of image data as planes of color information., JPEG, Scitex CT, BMP. Settings". The higher the PPI is the more pixels in the transparencies. This option can reduce that, making it easier to RIP files with large or complex transparency. The value can be changed. It is in units of pixels per inch (PPI).

This option lists more information into the RIP Log. Provides more information to determine what the error is.

This option sets the flatness of cut path segment creation.

This option tells the RIP to look for and use overprint in a file. Use [OVERPRINT] if your images contain overprint attributes for color channels.

With this enabled, Jaws will attempt to repair the damaged PDF file by rescanning it and rebuilding the file's xref table. This is the same way Adobe Acrobat Pro does it when a damaged PDF is opened. This option is ON when unchecked. To turn it OFF you need to change the value and enable the option.

Changes the rendering intent used to map spot colors. When unchecked Absolute is used. 0 = Preceptual, 1 = Absolute, 2 = Relative, 3 = SaturationTerm used to describe the strength, purity, or vividness of a hue. Saturation indicates how much color is present. When there is no saturation, there is no color; the more saturation, the more color there is of the given hue., and 4 = Postercolor

By default transparency is done in the device output color space. Setting this to "OFF" allows the color space defined by the PDF file to be used.

Turns off all transparency processing for PDF files. Why this would need to be turned off is another question. (NOTE: Don't use unless otherwise told to.)

Turns off [CUT SPLINES], which forces the cut paths in a file to be made from small line segments and not from actual curves.

When DeviceN colors are used they should overprint or replace other colors involved in the pixel. By default they do unless this setting is set to "OFF".

PDF files can use Faux fonts to replace missing fonts. Setting this option to "OFF" forces the replacements to not be used.

Turns off the use of HP PANTONE Emulation libraries, metallic spot colors (Color Concepts) and any other profile that has this method applied. Will then use only the “User Defined” and “System Defined”d] spot color tables.

When this option is set to "ON" the page size is defined by the CropBox rather than the MediaBox.

When this option is set to "OFF" it ignores the widths defined for characters in a PDF file. It could possibly be used to fix broken font issues. Use with care.

This option allows the maximum amount of memory for the RIP to be defined. Don't set unless otherwise told to.

Graphic Artists often make the mistake of leaving white objects overprinting. It is usually the case that the artist intended the objects to knockout.

Setting this user parameter to “ON” forces white objects to knockout.
